If you want high engagement, you have engage with others first! Read below for some easy ways to engage with other accounts:⁠⁠1️⃣ SHARE POSTS that educated, entertained or inspired you. Make sure you tag the account so they can receive the credit and acknowledgement. If you quick share to your stories, make sure you @ them or they may not see it. 🏽⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠⁠2️⃣ REPLY TO STORIES. People share more personal, casual content in their stories so it's way easier to strike up a conversation there than on regular posts. Even if you just tap one of the quick emoji responses, this starts up a DM thread and opens the door for further convos. Instagram loves when users use DMs to chat.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠⁠3️⃣ LEAVE A COMMENT instead of scrolling by. Longer, thoughtful comments are ideal, so do that when you can, BUT sometimes we just don’t have it in us so if all you can muster is an emoji or "great post!", just comment with that! No need to overthink. I'd MUCH rather you do that than scroll by without engaging at all. Sure, emojis and shorter comments may not generate a ton of conversation, but at the very least, your name pops up, they're reminded of you and you show your support.
